Production Planner/Scheduler
Full Time-On Site Position Summary The Production Planner/Scheduler provides materials planning and scheduling support across Sales, Customer Service, and Manufacturing. This role is responsible for maintaining MRP system parameters, generating and releasing work orders, managing capacity plans, and ensuring product availability meets customer expectations. The position works within the direction set by the Supply Chain Managers to achieve planned production levels and deliver excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities Maintain MRP or applicable scheduling systems for production order and capacity planning Communicate material requirements and coordinate with internal customers Support production planning to meet customer delivery requirements Assist with sales activities, new product introduction, and demand fulfillment Maintain and improve MRP system parameters and scheduling processes Proactively identify and eliminate potential material shortages Process RMAs and daily transactions using MRP and related systems Follow standard operating procedures for scheduling and capacity planning Maintain KPI boards, planning reports, and cost analysis Contribute to team efforts and maintain a clean, safe work environment Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Business or Supply Chain preferred; two-year degree or equivalent experience acceptable 1+ years of progressive experience in a planning or scheduling role required Food Manufacturing planning experience a plus Certifications APICS/ISM/Supply Chain certification preferred, Skills & Competencies Solid understanding of MRP, capacity planning, inventory control, and scheduling methodologies Proficient in ERP systems Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel; MS Access experience a plus Familiarity with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail Excellent communication skills; ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization Able to work independently, manage competing priorities, and adapt in a fast-paced environment High ethical standards and a positive, professional demeanor Flexible availability for additional hours as needed to meet production demands Benefits Offered: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Short & Long Term Disability
